Responsible Pastoral Ministry of St. Thomas à Becket Parish
In June 2018, Archbishop Christian Lépine respectfully announced the implementation of the Responsible Pastoral Ministry initiative throughout the Diocese.
The primary objective of this initiative is to prioritize the safety and well-being of individuals we serve, especially children and vulnerable adults. It aims to safeguard our dedicated volunteers and staff members while preserving the integrity of all parish and diocesan resources.
What you need to do:
All members of the clergy, staff, and volunteers are kindly requested to:
- Read the Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- Sign and return the commitment form.
- Volunteers who have generously contributed their time for three years or more are kindly asked to complete the Long-term Volunteer ID form.
- Volunteers who have been actively involved for less than three years are requested to complete the Volunteer application form.
- For new volunteers who wish to join our efforts, we kindly request that they fill out a Volunteer application form. A comprehensive screening will be processed by the Responsible Pastoral Ministry Office.
Please note that background checks are required for individuals working with children, vulnerable adults, or in a high-risk position.
All completed documents can be returned by mail or in person to the Parish office, Attention: Responsible Pastoral Ministry.
