Ambo

This lectern is holy, like the Altar, because from it the Word of God is spoken to his People assembled as his Church. The first and second readings at Mass, taken from the Old and New Testaments, are usually proclaimed by the Baptized (lay people); while the Gospel is usually proclaimed by deacons, priests or bishops. Through them all God Himself speaks and teaches his People. The ambo was donated by the CWL
