The 15 paintings of the traditional Mysteries of the Holy Rosary - Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious - were painted by a man from St. Gabriel Parish in Pointe St. Charles, Frank Morahan, who donated them to Fr. Gilles Surprenant in 1989 for use in a church for the glory of God. When Pope John Paul II called a Year of the Most Holy Rosary for October 2002 to October 2003, our Pastor and the Liturgy Committee put up the paintings and asked parishioners to paint the 5 new "Luminous" Mysteries. Flora Markic painted Cana, Jesus Preaching, and the Transfiguration. Ann McDonald painted the Baptism and the Last Supper. These paintings are very helpful to parishioners for praying the Rosary and also for parents of young children to help them catechise their children about the Rosary and the Mysteries, which reveal aspects of Jesus' life and of the role of Mary his Mother in his work of salvation. The paintings below are on the tabernacle side of the church.
